Blink 182 announced at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last night that they are due to reform after a four year break.
Rumours have been circling since last November when Mark Hoppus announced on his blog that himself, Travis and Tom DeLongue were talking again after Travis' near fatal plane crash and it has now been confirmed that the band are indeed getting back together.
An announcement on Mark's blog reads: "Hi. We’re blink-182. This past week there’ve been a lot of questions about the current status from us. To put is simply, We’re back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy.
Summer 2009...Thanks and get ready…"
This is great news for fans of the legendary punk band and 2009 looks set to be a good year for them.
