Zombie movie financed by a remortgaged house hits cinemas this week

Glasweigen couple, Kieran Parker and Arabella Croft, who remortgaged their house to make a zombie film will see its release in cinemas across the UK from today.

Outpost is a zombie horror shot partly in Govan and Dumfries and Galloway. The film, which features Ray Stevenson and depicts nazi soldiers coming back from the dead, cost the Scottish couple £870,000 to produce.

Kieren and Arabella have won a Bafta Scotland award for the best first-time producers and the film has already been snapped up by Sony Pictures and has been released on DVD in the US.

The couple are considering a sequel depending on the success of Outpost over the coming weeks.
