Shutter review

Shutter is a great film for fans of horror and for those who loved the likes of The Ring and The Grudge. It's a perfect film for people who like to feel a little bit of fear but, who don't want to be scared out of their wits.

Take a look at my review at MovieRiot and if you haven't seen the trailer, have a look below.

Zombie movie financed by a remortgaged house hits cinemas this week

Glasweigen couple, Kieran Parker and Arabella Croft, who remortgaged their house to make a zombie film will see its release in cinemas across the UK from today.

Outpost is a zombie horror shot partly in Govan and Dumfries and Galloway. The film, which features Ray Stevenson and depicts nazi soldiers coming back from the dead, cost the Scottish couple £870,000 to produce.

Kieren and Arabella have won a Bafta Scotland award for the best first-time producers and the film has already been snapped up by Sony Pictures and has been released on DVD in the US.

The couple are considering a sequel depending on the success of Outpost over the coming weeks.

Meet the Spartans

The creators of Epic Movie, Friedberg and Seltzer, bring us another Hollywood spoof Meet the Spartans, focusing on boxoffice hit 300.

The film tells the story of Leonidas (Sean Maguire) who leads 13 Spartans into battle to defend their homeland against the Persians, whose misfit army include Ghost Rider, the Transformers, a hunchbacked Paris Hilton and Rocky Balboa.

Meet the Spartans is an entertaining watch, although a little silly at times but, the comedy doesn’t always hold out.

It cannot compare to the success of their original spoof hit Scary Movie.
